The Advantage

In today’s shifting industry, entry-level and even mid-level roles are becoming harder to secure — but that doesn’t mean your growth has to stall.
At Flip Horizontal, we bridge the gap between where you are and where studios need you to be.
Our programs are built around real production expectations — not just lessons.
You’ll follow the full lifecycle of a game- or film-ready asset, from idea pitch to design, iteration, and final delivery, all while learning to meet the needs of gameplay, story, and art direction.

Whether you're aiming to:

/Break into the industry without waiting years in junior roles

/Level up your portfolio with studio-ready execution

/Build the soft and technical skills expected of senior artists

/Or simply sharpen your workflow with professional feedback

WHY CHOOSE ME

Over the past decade, I have honed my skills as a concept artist and illustrator within the game and movie industry. In regard to game industry my extensive experience spans across various stages of game development, including research and development (R&D), pre-production, and active production phases. Spent half of my professional career as a freelancer, other half dedicated to a leading AAA game development company. Additionally, I have contributed my artistic talents to Hollywood movie productions, comic books, band covers, and a myriad of other creative projects. As your mentor, I am eager to share this wealth of knowledge and experience, guiding you to refine your craft and excel in this dynamically changing art scene of multiple industries. For many years my friends and family kept saying I would be a good teacher, which I treated with hesitation. Retrospective it was just a matter of time and change of perspective till I realized how fulfilling is to see someone growing gradually, achieving their goals, especially if I can take a part of that growth and shared success.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY

"Aron Elekes' mentorship was incredibly helpful to my understanding and ability to make concept art. He is very knowledgeable and openly shares his years of experience with kindness, positivity and professionalism."

- Tan YAn Hwei

" Aron's course was transformative for me. It helped me tackle non-human character design, something I struggled with. I loved how open and approachable Aron was, always encouraging questions and guiding my artistic growth."

- Rinata ANDRIEVSKI

"Prior to Aron’s Mentorship I had been feeling unsure of how to tackle design, and what I could do to continue growing as an artist, working with him was such a pivotal investment for me. He was very flexible , attentive and considerate as a mentor, happily working with me towards my personal goals, whilst being mindful to use his experience to guide me away from pitfalls where needed. If you are looking to take that big step forward and have a blast while doing it, I can’t recommend him enough."

- MARK MCGETTIGAN

"These past four months of mentoring have been such a joy and a huge boost for my artistic growth! Aron is an amazing teacher, he really knew how to pinpoint my weaknesses and helped me strengthen my fundamentals. He encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, which has been both fun and rewarding. Not only is he open-minded and a great listener, but our conversations throughout the mentorship have been super enriching. I definitely recommend him if you're looking for a fun way to elevate your artistic journey!"

- Rayane BENGAOUI

"I joined the mentorship because I had the skills but struggled to bring everything together into a cohesive project. I also had blind spots I couldn’t overcome on my own. What really improved for me was understanding design and keeping a consistent visual language across multiple characters. That part of my brain feels more unlocked now, and I’m really grateful for that."

- MAX ROSENFELD

"Working with Aron was a truly enriching and motivating experience. His mentorship helped me gain confidence in my sketches, step out of my comfort zone, and develop a sharper artistic eye—not just in my own work, but also when giving feedback to others. I appreciated his ability to adapt to each student’s level and effort, while always pushing us to grow. Aron is both kind and insightful, and I highly recommend his mentorship to anyone looking to level up their character design and illustration skills."
